إذا المرء لم تَدْنَس من الإثم نفسُه

إذا المرء لم تَدْنَس من الإثم نفسُه

يطيرُ إلى عالي الجنان بسُلَّمِ

يطيرُ إلى عالي الجنان بسُلَّمِ

If a person's soul is not defiled by sin,

If a man's soul is not stained by sin

they fly to the heights of Paradise by a ladder.

He can ascend to the heights of heaven on a ladder

ومن يحتقر شاناً يزولُ انقلابُه

ومن يحتقر شاناً يزولُ انقلابُه

يؤهَّلْ لشان اللَه فاحقَرْ تُكَرَّمِ

يؤهَّلْ لشان اللَه فاحقَرْ تُكَرَّمِ

And whoever scorns a rank whose reversals pass away

And he who scorns fame, his downfall disappears

is made worthy of God's honor; so disdain worldly rank, and you will be honored.

Seeking exaltation through God, so scorn to be honored
