    تنل من إله الحب حبّاً مع الحظِّ

    Hate Satan if you are a monk;

    You will gain love from the God of love, along with good fortune.

    تكن ساعياً بالروح في عالم الحفظ

    And oppose desire and the body in every craving;

    You will strive in spirit in the realm of protection.

    For whoever harbors rancor in silence is like

    A famished viper, flicking its tongue through its gaze.

    So, O you returning in a robe of rancor—for if you repent

    And harbor rancor, you have spoiled the fruit of exhortation.

    For you are like one striving in a dream, and have not come

    To the Knowing, Forgiving One through resolve and speech.
