ياO قلبَheart of مريمMary بابنwith the Son of اللَهGod منطبعاًimprinted
يا قلبَ مريم بابن اللَه منطبعاً
أكرِمْhow noble! بقلبٍa heart بنارwith the fire of الحبlove مطبوعِstamped
أكرِمْ بقلبٍ بنار الحب مطبوعِ
O heart of Mary, imprinted with the Son of God,
How noble is a heart stamped with the fire of love!
فَأَثَّرَتand so left an imprint فيهupon it بالمعنىinwardly فضائلُهhis virtues
فَأَثَّرَت فيه بالمعنى فضائلُه
فأَلَّفتand so united بينbetween مرئيٍّwhat is seen ومسموعِand what is heard
فأَلَّفت بين مرئيٍّ ومسموعِ
Thus his virtues left their inward imprint upon it,
and united what is seen with what is heard.
