Beware, may I be your ransom, the pride of a soul risen high.

For its culmination is denial of the Creator’s due.

فالكِبر أهبط كوكب الصبح البهي

فالكِبر أهبط كوكب الصبح البهي

والكفر زج سَكَندراً في النار

والكفر زج سَكَندراً في النار

For pride brought down the radiant morning star,

And unbelief hurled Sakandar into the fire.
