O monk, who has grown in wisdom among us,
O monk, you have increased in wisdom
Wisdom concerning God, above the common man's blindness:
In God, transcending the blindness of the masses
لاdo not تجهلنْever act ignorantly متعامياًfeigning blindness فلإنهfor indeed it
لا تجهلنْ متعامياً فلإنه

شرٌّ من الأعمى عَمَى المتعامي
Never act ignorantly, feigning blindness, for indeed
Do not feign ignorance
The blindness of one who feigns it is worse than a blind man's.
For the feigned blindness of the pretender is worse than the blindness of the blind
