نحو العلا ورآه كلُّ نبيهِ

Truly, Christ ascended, facing

toward the heights, and every discerning one saw him.

وتلاحقت بصعوده آباؤُنا

وتلاحقت بصعوده آباؤُنا

كلٌّ له بالفوز حظُّ وجيهِ

كلٌّ له بالفوز حظُّ وجيهِ

And at his ascension our fathers followed in succession,

Each having a distinguished share in triumph.

ولج الإلهُ ديارَ ملكِ أبيه مع

ولج الإلهُ ديارَ ملكِ أبيه مع

أنصاره حقّاً بلا تمويه

أنصاره حقّاً بلا تمويه

God entered the dwellings of his Father's kingdom with

his supporters, truly, without deception.

وتباشرت فيه الملائك عندما

وتباشرت فيه الملائك عندما

رأت الأنام نجت بنصر فقيه

رأت الأنام نجت بنصر فقيه

And the angels rejoiced together in him when

they saw humankind saved through a learned man's aid.

والأرضُ صارت للبرية مهيعاً

والأرضُ صارت للبرية مهيعاً

لنجاتِها بعد الشَّقا والتيه

لنجاتِها بعد الشَّقا والتيه

And the earth became for humankind a broad path

to its salvation after misery and wandering.
