مَلْكُking الدهورthe ages فلاso not تعصيهdisobey him أمصارُcities
مَلْكُ الدهور فلا تعصيه أمصارُ
That one who hides in a maiden's embrace
The one who disappears in a maiden's embrace
is the King of the ages, so no cities disobey him.
The eternal king, do not disobey him, O epochs
مولىًa lord تبشرناbrings us glad tidings فيهof him السماءheaven وقدand indeed
مولىً تبشرنا فيه السماء وقد
تبديهreveals him أنجمُهاits stars تلقاهgreet him أقمارmoons
تبديه أنجمُها تلقاه أقمار
A lord of whom heaven brings us glad tidings, and indeed
A master whom the heavens give us good tidings of
its stars reveal him; moons greet him.
Its stars reveal him, its moons receive him
