أنارilluminated اللَهGod يومَكyour day فاغتنمهso seize it
أنار اللَه يومَك فاغتنمه
حياةُlife غدٍtomorrow بعيدٌunlikely أنthat تراهاyou see it
حياةُ غدٍ بعيدٌ أن تراها
God has illuminated your day, so seize it.
May God light up your day, so take advantage of it
It is unlikely you will see tomorrow’s life.
Tomorrow's life is too far for you to see
فرُبَّfor many a غدٍtomorrow يوافيناcomes to us بشرٍّwith evil
فرُبَّ غدٍ يوافينا بشرٍّ
يواريburies توبةًrepentance كناwe were نراهاwe see it
يواري توبةً كنا نراها
For many a tomorrow comes to us with evil,
For many tomorrows bring news
burying a repentance we once envisioned.
That may conceal a repentance we once saw
