أسعِدْHow blessed بمنis the one who أضحىhas become ذميماًreviled مُهمَلاًneglected
أسعِدْ بمن أضحى ذميماً مُهمَلاً
فيfor the sake of اللَهGod لاnot يشكوhe complains ولاand not يَتقنَّطُhe despairs
في اللَه لا يشكو ولا يَتقنَّطُ
How blessed is one who has become reviled and cast aside,
How blessed is he who has become reviled and neglected,
who, for God’s sake, neither complains nor despairs.
For God's sake, neither complaining nor despairing;
وبهand for His sake يكلِّفُhe burdens نفسهhimself ويشينُهاand dishonors it
وبه يكلِّفُ نفسه ويشينُها
ظُلماًunjustly وعنand from عرشthe throne السماheaven لاnot يَهبطُhe descends
ظُلماً وعن عرش السما لا يَهبطُ
For Him he burdens his own soul and covers it with shame,
And for His sake he burdens himself and dishonors himself
wrongfully—and from heaven’s throne he never descends.
Unjustly—yet does not descend from heaven's throne.
