whose like none of you has received from his own family,

حتى دفعتُ وحيدَ قلبي دونكم

حتى دفعتُ وحيدَ قلبي دونكم

يفدي الذي قد ضل عنه بجهلهِ

يفدي الذي قد ضل عنه بجهلهِ

until I gave up my heart’s only one in your stead,

to the point that I gave my heart’s only beloved in your stead,

so he might ransom the one who, through ignorance, had strayed from him.

to redeem the one who had strayed from him through his ignorance.
