هُنِّيتَ بابنٍ قد أتاك مباركاً

هُنِّيتَ بابنٍ قد أتاك مباركاً

وتُهَنَّا فيه بالغاً في رشدِهِ

وتُهَنَّا فيه بالغاً في رشدِهِ

Congratulations on a son who has come to you blessed;

You are blessed with a son who comes to you auspiciously,

And may you be congratulated on him as he matures in wisdom.

And you are congratulated for his great maturity and wisdom,

فالسيف يزهو رونقاً بصقاله

فالسيف يزهو رونقاً بصقاله

إن جال ماءُ فرنده في حدهِ

إن جال ماءُ فرنده في حدهِ

For the sword shines with the splendor of its polish,

For the sword gleams brightly when it is polished,

If the watery sheen of its damask pattern plays along its edge.

If the water of its blade flows in its edge.
