مذ حلَّ روحُ اللَه قلبَك ساكناً

مذ حلَّ روحُ اللَه قلبَك ساكناً

يا مريم العذراء أكساه البها

يا مريم العذراء أكساه البها

Since the Spirit of God came to dwell in your heart,

Since the Spirit of God dwelt in your heart,

O Virgin Mary, he clothed it in splendor.

O Virgin Mary, He clothed it with purity

فتصوَّرت فيها الفضائلُ كلها

فتصوَّرت فيها الفضائلُ كلها

فكأنه المرآةُ نَنظرُها بِها

فكأنه المرآةُ نَنظرُها بِها

And so all the virtues took form in her,

So in you were embodied all the virtues

So it is like a mirror in which we behold them.

As though in you we see their reflection
