سَتَخلَعُyou will break loose فيamid فَصافِصَalfalfa ماnot سَقَتهاwatered it
سَتَخلَعُ في فَصافِصَ ما سَقَتها
بِدالِيَةٍwith a water-lift أُسَيِّدُUsayyid فيin دِبارِgarden beds
بِدالِيَةٍ أُسَيِّدُ في دِبارِ
You will break loose amid alfalfa not watered
by Usayyid with a water-lift in garden beds.
سَقاهاwatered it اللَهُGod بِالأَشراطِwith the Ashrat stars’ rains حَتّىuntil
سَقاها اللَهُ بِالأَشراطِ حَتّى
تَحَنّىbent low نَبتُplant growth غادِيَةٍmorning rain وَساريand night rain
تَحَنّى نَبتُ غادِيَةٍ وَساري
God watered it with the Ashrat stars’ rains, until
the growth from morning and night rain bent low.
وَلَوand if بِعناwe sold أُسَيِّدَUsayyid لَمnot تَزِدناbring us more
وَلَو بِعنا أُسَيِّدَ لَم تَزِدنا
أُسَيِّدُUsayyid قَتَّتَينِtwo bundles of fodder عَلىbeyond حِمارِa donkey
أُسَيِّدُ قَتَّتَينِ عَلى حِمارِ
And if we sold Usayyid, we would not get
for Usayyid two fodder bundles beyond a donkey’s worth.
