لَيسَare not العَقائِلُthe noblewomen مِنof شَيبانَShayban نافِقَةًin demand
وَفيهِمُand among them مِنfrom كُلَيبٍKulayb عَقدُa bond أَصهارِof kinship by marriage
The noblewomen of Shayban are not in demand,
The enemies are not all hypocrites with white hair,
with a bond of marriage to Kulayb among them—
Among them are youths tied by kinship's bonds.
النازِلينَthose who lodge بِدارِin the abode of الذُلِّhumiliation إِنif نَزَلواthey lodge

وَالأَلأَمينَand the basest بِأَسماعٍto ears وَأَبصارِand eyes
those who lodge in the abode of humiliation whenever they lodge,
Those who dwell in the abode of disgrace, if they dwell,
and the basest to ear and eye.
Are endowed with hearing and sight like the noble.
وَإِنَّand indeed حَدراءَHadra ماnot كانَتshe was مُصاهِرَةًallied by marriage
بَينَamong الأَلائِمِthe base مِنof ضَيفٍa guest وَمِنand of جارِa neighbor
And indeed, Hadra had no ties by marriage
And truly Hudra was never allied
among the base, whether guest or neighbor.
To censured guest or neighbor.
