Indeed, ruined is whoever among Darim's sons walks
He who walked to the fire in shackles
to the Fire, his neck-cord pulled tight, turned blue.
Has failed among the sons of Darim

When, on the Day of Resurrection, a leader comes to me,
If on the Day of Resurrection an angry captain
a harsh one, and a driver drives al-Farazdaq.
Comes to me driving Al-Farazdaq
أَخافُI fear وَراءَbeyond القَبرِthe grave إِنif لَمdoes not يُعافِنيHe spares me
أَخافُ وَراءَ القَبرِ إِن لَم يُعافِني
أَشَدَّmore intense مِنَthan القَبرِthe grave اِلتِهاباًin burning وَأَضيَقاand narrower
أَشَدَّ مِنَ القَبرِ اِلتِهاباً وَأَضيَقا
I fear beyond the grave, if He does not spare me,
I fear after the grave, if I am not pardoned
what burns more fiercely than the grave, and is narrower.
More than the grave, tighter and hotter

يَذوبونَ مِن حَرِّ الصَديدِ تَمَزُّقا
When they drink the pus therein, you see them
When they drink boiling water, you see them
melting from the heat of the pus, falling to pieces.
Melting from the heat tearing apart
