Ibn Dahma is not one whose pledges carry
Ibn Dahma is not one to break his word,
A sacred bond; nor is religion sought in Oman.
Nor in Oman is devotion sought.

A people whose lances guide them wheresoe’er they fare,
When their beards fan out in the wind.
When the winds stir the dust clouds.
