We were granted victory over them the day they met us,
by a barren wind in their dwellings.
وَهَلand ...? يَسطيعُis able أَبكَمُa mute man باهِلِيٌّof Bāhila
زِحامَjostling against الهادِياتِthe necks مِنَof القُرومِthe mighty stallions
And can a mute man of Bāhila
jostle against the necks of the mighty stallions?
فَلاso not يَأتيcomes to المَساجِدَthe mosques باهِلِيٌّa man of Bāhila
وَكَيفَand how صَلاةِprayer مَرجوسٍone defiled رَجيمِaccursed
So no man of Bāhila comes to the mosques—
and how can one defiled and accursed pray?
