أَبلِغConvey أَميرَthe Commander المُؤمِنينَof the Faithful رِسالَةًa message
أَبلِغ أَميرَ المُؤمِنينَ رِسالَةً
فَعَجِّلso hasten هَداكَmay He guide you اللَهُGod نَزعَكَyour dismissal of خالِداKhalid
فَعَجِّل هَداكَ اللَهُ نَزعَكَ خالِدا
Convey a message to the Commander of the Faithful:
Convey to the Commander of the Faithful a message
So hasten—may God guide you—to dismiss Khalid.
So may God guide you, prolong your life O Khaled
بَنىhe built بَيعَةًa church فيهاin it الصَليبُthe cross لِأُمِّهِfor his mother
بَنى بَيعَةً فيها الصَليبُ لِأُمِّهِ
وَهَدَّمَand he demolished مِنout of بُغضِhatred of الصَلاةِprayer المَساجِداthe mosques
وَهَدَّمَ مِن بُغضِ الصَلاةِ المَساجِدا
He built his mother a church with a cross in it,
He built a church in which is a cross for his mother
and demolished the mosques out of hatred for prayer.
And destroyed from hatred of prayer the mosques
