By my life, if Mālik, son of ʿAmrah, has
By my life, if Umarah's son has wronged you
gone to extremes in wrongdoing, heedless and unrelenting,
Oppressing you unrelentingly, with no excuse,
لِتَنكَشِفَنwill surely clear away عَنهُfrom him ضَبابَةُcloud فَسوِهِhis farting

لِضَغمَةِ رِئبالٍ مِنَ الأُسدِ مُخدِرِ
the cloud of his farting will surely clear away from him
His dark fog will surely lift from you
at the bite of a lion—a lair-dweller among lions.
When the claws of a fierce lion rend and tear him.

When its weapons seize an adversary, they leave
Once its ropes are flung over the dome of his head,
a mark upon him like a gushing stream.
They will leave of him no trace, like a bursting stream.
