My soul is his ransom, loved by Al-Bahnasi
And whoever is his client is not alone.
And he who has him for a protector is not alone

And what a fine young man Isa is, when the mature she-camels yield little milk,
So excellent is the youth Isa when hosts contend
And bring scant milk, cold in the night.
And the cold night brings clattering arms

His locks grew from Suleim to high estate
And roots of true nobility between Nasr and Khalid.
And lineages of sincerity between Nasr and Khalid

No father for you but Majid and Ibn Majid

To fend off enemies and grievous troubles.
Against foes and dire events

They are the stronghold of honor in which protection is sought
They are the refuge of glory which is feared thereby
When one of the crushing calamities descends upon the people.
When upon men descends one of the frays

And they built higher than the builders, and fought
They ennobled over the builders and fought
For noble deeds that did not belie a praiser's words.
Endeavors whose telling no praiser belied
