For he has two hands, in whose palms

Lies spring's abundant rain for orphans and the poor.

When she has brought me to Khalid and has not yet risen,

Then may her belly's flowing blood drench her forelegs.

And how many pillion riders and needs she bears,

And glory upon glory, its heavy burdens firmly anchored.

On the way to you, the straps around her saddles were drawn tight

By scorching noons of days she joins to night.

Quraysh—its noblest men—and Darim raised him,

And Sa'd, his tribes, to noble glory.
