تُعَجِّلُ بِالمَغبوطِ عِجلٌ مِنَ القِرى

تُعَجِّلُ بِالمَغبوطِ عِجلٌ مِنَ القِرى

وَتَخضِبُ أَطرافَ العَوالي مِنَ الدَمِ

وَتَخضِبُ أَطرافَ العَوالي مِنَ الدَمِ

ʿIjl hastens to offer enviable hospitality,

A troop from the villages hurries to the fortunate one

And dyes the tips of long spears with blood.

And the highlands are dyed red with blood

هُما مِن كِرامِ المَأثُراتِ اِصطَفاهُما

هُما مِن كِرامِ المَأثُراتِ اِصطَفاهُما

عَلى الناسِ في إِشراكِ دينٍ وَمُسلِمِ

عَلى الناسِ في إِشراكِ دينٍ وَمُسلِمِ

Both are among the noble deeds; he chose them

They are of the noble glories he chose them

Above all others, in pagan religion and in Islam.
