1. From you to myself I chide it, though it anger
What between two friends have I to intermeddle?
١. وَمِنكَ إِلى نَفسي فَلُمها وَأَغضِبِ
فَما لِيَ ما بَينَ الصَديقَينِ مَدخَلُ
2. You may control it as you will, select
And set aside, debase and raise, then slay and quicken
٢. تَحَكَّم بِها ما شِئتَ تَنفي وَتَصطَفي
وَتُقصي وَتُدني ثُمَّ تُحيي وَتَقتُلُ
