1. Overreaches with stubborn unwillingness
And denies passion with stubborn delusion
١. يَتَمادى بِهِ لَجاجُ النُفورِ
وَيُنافي الهَوى لَجاجُ الغُرورِ
2. Do not tell me his words are good
His words are false witnesses
٢. لا تَقُل لي أَقوالُهُ طَيِّباتٌ
إِنَّ أَقوالَهُ شُهودُ الزورِ
3. So actions have a touch of darkness
And words have a touch of light
٣. فَعَلى الفِعلِ مِسحَةٌ مِن ظَلامٍ
وَعَلى القَولِ مِسحَةٌ مِن نورِ
