1. Woe to the bewitching world
Full of mocking desires,

2. And souls that are ignorant
That souls are only passing through.

3. Do you not see that the world
Has become fully inhabited?

4. Blessed are the eyes that don
The clothes of wakefulness at night

5. With a teardrop on their cheek
And devotion passing by.

6. Those radiant faces
Turning radiantly to God,

7. Profitably circling,
Not like others who lose.

8. Those cheerful faces
That poverty has descended upon.

9. They have steadfast hearts
Though they are startled by fear.

10. If they do not know their fate,
Then death is the final door.

11. Advice is never lacking
Except to heedless hearts.
