1. Approach this cloud for it is
Your brother; bid its fringes turn from us.
١. تَقَدَّم إِلى هَذا السَحابِ فَإِنَّهُ
أَخوكَ بِأَن تَنأى مَطارِفُهُ عَنّا
2. And if its showers fail to bless us ever,
Your bounty still will rain on us enough.
٢. فَلَو لم يُصِبنا مِنهُ صَيِّبُ قَطرِهِ
لَجادَ عَلَينا مِن يَمينِكَ ما أَغنى
