1. O flash of lightning, nay, O gust of wind
My soul with my body to the one in whom my soul resides
١. يا لَمعَةَ البَرقِ بَل يا هَبَّةَ الريحِ
روحي بِجِسمي إِلى مَن عِندَهُ روحي
2. Take to them from my greetings a fragrant ambergris
And kindle it with a fire from my sighs
٢. خُذي لَهُم مِن سَلامي عَنبَراً عَبِقاً
وَأَوقِدِيهِ بِنارٍ مِن تَباريحي
3. I adjure you by God, be one to inform them
That they are my remembrance and my glorification
٣. ناشَدتُكِ اللَهَ إِلّا كُنتِ مُخبِرَةً
عَنّي بِأَنَّهُمُ ذِكري وَتَسبيحي
