1. You inherited the virtues from your father as a tradition
And you followed it during the time of stinginess as a doctrine

2. When you clothe the delegation with robes of generosity
They have worn it with delight as an adornment

3. If Ziyad had lived during his time
He would have seen which of the men is refined

4. The duration of his nightly prostration consumes his life
So for God he has a prayer niche that harbors a loved one

5. And in the poverty of his dependence on Him is a means
It is enough for unleashing the flood that it pours down
