1. O you who pass by, the whole world passes us by
So we see neither world nor faith

2. For love of you, if asked, every preoccupation
And we were never distracted from you

3. With you is our knowledge and God third between us
And if we do wrong and are called insane

4. Are we distracted from you? No, by your Lord
Our Lord who gives to the poor

5. And brings together the loving hearts in acceptance
From Him and love for those who lived loving

6. After you, do we love the world and seek it
When we are from you though far

7. A pact on us, though the road be long for us
That we see none but you in the empty desert our guide

8. A pact on us, though our means fail
And get lost in the wilderness astray without intent
