1. The lion in its forest roars its fate
While at the top of the line a mute tongue is tied

2. And the people are split open, their voices choked in their throats
If only their loved ones would take care of the people's affairs

3. They would sleep and wake up happy and content
Thousands of peasants own no land

4. While one owns thousands in property and estates
With his children studying at university for free

5. While the poor's son gets expelled from school and becomes
And if he dares ask for his right, he gets locked up in darkness

6. The worker who died before death, wronged
In a condition that would not satisfy a sane or insane mind

7. If he lived an hour he would sell his wrap before it got cheaper
And if one day a year he brings meat for his kids

8. It means he'll end up in debt after that
Oh ruler of the people, you must base your rules

9. On the people's satisfaction, and don't live in your illusions
Or think Egypt is your farm and we are your servants

10. Oppression will have its day, your path will burn in its fire
And you'll cry and lament over your life and dreams

11. Oh owner of owners, your justice is lost in the injustice of people
The dog in Egypt has servants and guards

12. While the people's rights are lost between women and booze
Oh God, bring an end to injustice and make us happy

13. And get the dog out of the government, along with the filth
