تَنَجَّدَhe sought aid حِلفاًan alliance آمِناًsecure فَأُمِنتُهُso I trusted him
تَنَجَّدَ حِلفاً آمِناً فَأُمِنتُهُ
وَإِنَّand indeed جَديدراًunclear; possibly 'worthy' أَنthat يَكونَhe should be وَيَكذِباand he should lie
وَإِنَّ جَديدراً أَن يَكونَ وَيَكذِبا
He sought aid through an alliance, secure, and I trusted him.
He swore an oath I deemed secure, but if
