Purity in modesty, in slenderness,
Purity in modesty in slimness
like a virgin among devout women,
Like a nun among the devout

بحراسٍ وحفاظٍ تقاتِ
who dwelt a while in the convent, watched over
She spent an era in the monastery nurturing
by guards and pious keepers,
With guards and protectors watching over

Far from eyes that covet her
and from souls thirsting for her.
And from souls thirstily yearning for her

She was not ogled with impudent glances
nor touched by sinful hands.
Nor touched by erring hands

Chaste as water from rain clouds, until
A steed like cool water until
she was permitted to me and became lawful for the inkwell.
She was permitted to me and yielded to my pen

So none may attain you except a refined writer
noble in speech and rich in patience,
Noble of speech, abundant of patience

But as for whoever blackens you haphazardly,
As for he who blemishes you randomly
to my mind, he is the worst of offenders.
I deem him the worst of sinners

He wastes his reader's time with mockery,
Wasting the time of his reader with mockery
and thinks he has wrought miracles.
Deeming he has achieved miracles
