O vision of beauty, how radiant you are, unveiled

to the world, as roses and myrtle unveil themselves.

You healed the wounds of the house of Maalouf,

after the healer's lancet had lost its way within them.

a beauty, resplendent in a wedding gown.

So enjoy what you have gained, O Shaheen, rejoicing,

and accept the congratulations of Elias, sincere in affection.

I do indeed see Ibrahim following

his father's footsteps in generosity and valor.

Today he is tightly bound in the cradle, and

tomorrow he will haul himself toward the heights with ropes.

His namesake was God's intimate friend, and he, without

a doubt, will be a friend of God and humankind.

Raise your voice and call out to all the world:

That is a newborn of the finest parents.

Thus the sons of Maalouf, amid their celebrations,

have recovered from that grievous wound.

I said to the All-Merciful in his birth chronogram:

Grant Ibrahim the lot of the immortals.
