قوِّناstrengthen us ياO رَبُّLord وَاِجعَلناand make us صِحاحhealthy مِثلَهُlike it
Summer has come and set down its baggage on the plains.
Summer has arrived and cast off its burden in the valley,
Strengthen us, O Lord, and make us hale like it.
Strengthen us, oh Lord, and make us as healthy as it,
وَاِجعَلِand make القَلبَthe heart نَقِيّاًpure كَنَسيمِهlike its breeze
وَاسقِناand give us to drink الإيمانَfaith حَيّاًliving مِنfrom كُرومِهits vineyards
And make the heart pure as its breeze.
And purify our hearts like its breeze,
And give us living faith to drink from its vineyards.
And give us lively faith from its vineyards,
وَليَكُنand let it be لَناfor us زَهرُهُits blossoms قُبَلkisses

And let its blossoms be kisses for us,
And let its flowers be our kisses,
Its earth a harvest, its sun hope.
Its land our harvest, its sun our hope,

The hills cast a lovely shade over the valley,
For the Lord a shade on the valley, beautiful,
And over the plain, fragrances and light,
And on the plain, fragrances and radiance,

And from the stream, a sweet refrain.
And from the stream, a pleasant sound,
They lift humankind or draw the sky near.
Raising man up or bringing the sky down,

And the rocks—the end of a mighty past turned to ashes—
And the rocks, relics of a great magnificent past,
Are images that have preserved the faces of giants.
Images that preserved the faces of giants,

And the eagles ask the skies:
And the eagles ask the skies,
“Where were the mighty?”
Where were the mighty?

And the pastures by day—
And the meadows in daylight,
What a green sea!
Which green sea?

And when the tender night comes,
And when the gentle night arrives,
Then on the horizon lies a dust of blossoms.
Dust of flowers on the horizon,

And morning light walks softly
And the morn walking through our dreams,
Among the hills, and the east wind
In the bushes and youth,

Bringing scent to us,
From the cheeks of blossoms and the juice of fruit.
From cheeks of flowers and juice of fruit.
