بِتَدَلُّلٍ يُستَعبدُ النَظَرا

My beauty glanced at the mirror
With a coyness that enslaves the gaze.
With a coquetry that enslaves the gaze
فَهَبَبتُso I sprang up أَلثَمُهاI kiss it لِأَنَّbecause بِهاin it
فَهَبَبتُ أَلثَمُها لِأَنَّ بِها
لِخيالِof the reflection حُمرِred خُدودِهاher cheeks أَثَراa trace
لِخيالِ حُمرِ خُدودِها أَثَرا
So I sprang to kiss it, for in it
So I approached to kiss her
Was a trace of her rosy cheeks’ reflection.
For on her rosy cheeks still lingered a trace
