I adore honesty; I speak nothing but the truth,

I love honesty, I only speak the truth

Even if it wrongs me in life.

في فُؤادي القَوِيِّ روحُ إِلهٍ

في فُؤادي القَوِيِّ روحُ إِلهٍ

وَلَوَ أَنّي وُلِدتُ مِن أَبَوَيّا

وَلَوَ أَنّي وُلِدتُ مِن أَبَوَيّا

In my strong heart dwells the spirit of a god,

Even though I was born of my parents.
