1. She came with beauty serene
Bringing you art in every scene

2. Her beauty is not lent from what's seen
Or from coyness feigned in mien

3. Nay, fear no disdain of bough
Like bough of bending twig I bow

4. Her charms feign no pretense now
Nor veil the graceful artifice

5. She walks not with airs put on
Or hair harsh and falsely drawn

6. Ran she did from Paradise
Whether tired or bore its guise

7. As I yearn, so yearns the bowers
Of Eden for that face of flowers

8. Her kohl in the eye a sword in showers
Dawn's smile early bathed in towers

9. Her breath like soft blowing air
Cross which the morning breeze blows fair

10. My cens’rer, pity my repair
Or to thee, to thee my care

11. Love entered in without consent
In night and without any warrant

12. Its tide did hasten turbulent
And heeds not trouble resultant

13. And shows you such beauty meant
A face that comes with grace besprent

14. O you who saw her the moon hence went
In sickness and every strength spent

15. The bough bends to you in consent
But you it is makes the bough bent

16. You, but for whom devils present
O’erpowered not angels orient

17. And for love of thee I nigh faint
But for thee all this I ain’t

18. And could I, my heart I’d acquaint
Not beat age on you complaint

19. O heart! How much I raze love's paint
And you rise in steadfast taint

20. You pawned my reason for paint
So pay with peace my plight's payment

21. If you were my heart you’d forsake
And part from her for my sake

22. This love has fooled me ’til I trade
My gown for murk in dusky shade

23. I’m so engaged as to persuade
My soul from what's not my trade

24. This age leans hard expressing hate
Looks and deafens my hearing straight

25. Came challenging my lowly state
My lot's with fate to conjugate

26. O time aggress and ebb in spate
And raid, hit hard, capsize my freight

27. If seen docile in your gait
Or to thee in mien sedate

28. If you say you've no use to state
For me, who said that's your prerogate

29. With my Lord who aids and sates
And always guides to best estates

30. Gracious, faithful and expects
Grants thousands minus defects

31. And takes loans but protects
From loans with gloom affects

32. Sustains good deeds effectual
When he destroys the futile

33. Wont when guest knocks ’pon his hall
To slaughter ostrich, beast or all

34. The noblest seen in gift et al
Not in erased trace at all

35. In raiment of glory apparel
His clouds heavy with hail

36. Realms with harsh might ruled well
And with deliberation as well

37. And countries counseled he did impel
With good rede cities fortify

38. You see his venerance compel
Like sire, and love in him dwell

39. As son if bid or purpose tell
He's the coronate, the blest

40. Title-giver, named the best
To his wisdom flock in quest

41. Islam, of all faiths crest
And faith therein feels so blest

42. And so safe in his fortressed rest
Eloquence like necklace at behest

43. Now fire, then soft water possest
Tongues that send refined wish pressed

44. Meet tongues razed in war’s unrest
Wisdom sharp to turn the test

45. Of hottest blade with soundest chest
Sees aftermath beyond purview

46. By guess and imaginings true
Wecapped praise, as it is due

47. Fail his worth, when we renew
And if others we acclaim

48. Him we mean but without name
Save thee he whose rule supreme

49. Bird of realm sans any rein
And he's shy of favors some

50. Nay, from cowardice doth run
High souls said when he laid claim

51. Deigning on sublime acclaim
Hands nei’ther left give boon

52. Nor right to right or favor moon
Eloquence his like fortune

53. In syntax without a rune
Roams the wondrous and strange scene

54. Doteth o'er a wondrous miens
My refuge when glory preens

55. I cried but no ward convenes
Hard was my load 'til between men

56. My weight fell and status thin
And tasted but hates therein

57. Till no space left within
And it trespassed while you've been

58. Not trespassing me therein
Failed my will and fortress scene

59. Toppled, and pillar none sustains
Rose o'er my head one who'd been

60. Beneath my heels as clearly seen
Meet friends sans warmth sustains

61. Enemies nor bars contains
Suppose the worst that can be seen

62. Some guess does work to harm, I mean
Sire went moaning what had been

63. Would mother ne'er birthed me in!
And thy aloof behind the scene

64. Sates my foes and starves my spleen
Vanish life's trace in between

65. A yearn, a wish, just a dream
Efforts fail escaping the seen

66. Lagging behind just means
You are the one it means

67. Who robs their high demesnes
And brings them low as brothers lean

68. While raises fancies just gleaned
Bow! For you've reigned it's seen

69. O'er men your mighty demesne
You bought me, don't sell me then!

70. Who bought me will not sell again
Relax my reins their hardness taut

71. My home could not contain
And I'm so very lowly brought

72. While you are high, disdain me not!
Composed in a day still fraught

73. With grief and gloom distraught
The day recalls the sad tale brought

74. Of martyred saint so rightly wrought
As all Shi'as recall in thought

75. And Sunnis into hatred caught
If I don't defend the fraught

76. To raise Muslims in deed and thought
I am not thereby less aught

77. Or if I don't care at all
I won't reap goodness therewithal

78. Husayn was killed with hatred's gall
By spreaders of sin as all

79. They slandered him, but ne’er let fall
A drop of water midst that brawl

80. You are his friend who will withal
Make public your allegiance all

81. And you are worthier yet withal
To seek his killers for their fall

82. He is one who for me makes call
To gain me what bid me recall

83. My ode I launched like windblown squall
From heart that's like a prison hall

84. Came like limpid stream truth-enthrall
Its verse in beauty wrought withal

85. I saw thee, noble youth withal
So came I with hopes to install

86. My thoughts are fair expecting so
You'll realize their truthful flow!
