1. The showering lightning anchored in it
And the breeze passed through it fluttering

2. And the morning of life revived its blossoming
So its deceased would blossom

3. And it ignited fire above it
So the soft scent and amber wafted to us

4. And the neighing of its thunder awakened
As if reprimanding me for my night vigil

5. And the plants were in frenzy, would he ride it
That blond one

6. And it carried no favor to the plain
Except that its favor was greater

7. Whenever a visitor came with his tears
Its flowers met him with barriers

8. And if a suitor came with his thunder
Its pines met him with pulpits

9. So how many twists then untwists
And how many cheeks dripping with life

10. And how many streams whose clarity
Informs of the secrets of its pebbles

11. And how much did the blowing winds tousle it
Yet it remained crumpled concealing them

12. And how many helmets of raindrops on it
Indicating that it is forgiving

13. So O garden of beauty I was preoccupied
With the garden of one whose beauty is seen

14. And O greenness I got lost in you
Like your green occupant got lost

15. I do not recover from the affliction
And he from your color does not show

16. It fluttered while the spear was in his hand
So we knew not which of the two was darker

17. And the deer passed by his trail
And we knew not which was more timid

18. And he put his ring on his waist
So it was evident that his waist was thinner

19. And when he turbaned, the evidence
Was against the flaw of its wrap

20. And it suffices that it has a wrap
While luckier than it is his loincloth

21. And he was jealous of me that
I and others before him courted you

22. O a mine whose pearls are perfect
And O a garden whose roses are red

23. O you whose mouth is sugar for us
But it is a sugar that intoxicates

24. It melts the knots of Reason openly
So for it, wine was prohibited

25. I fast from your affection eternally and have
Seen the crescent but do not break fast

26. You are the crescent and you are destruction
Killing me you decree and do not waver

27. Are you not wary that my story will spread
And register the details in a police report

28. And the market of police reports nowadays
Seller, is losing like you

29. And I am most perplexed by everything that happened
An old woman adopted her young lover

30. And this case is reversed
I see Reason recoiling from its like

31. So I blamed her in cups which I thought
Would be guarded by Caesar himself

32. And I burned by it the darkness of night
When it was evident it blasphemed

33. And my friend’s night did not shorten
Nor did his drinking shorten

34. And the mu’athin eulogized the darkness
One eulogizes and the other snarls

35. And the dawn lifted from us the mask of night
So your shining face was exposed

36. The dawn is not amazed by its light
For the face of the righteous Abu Anwar is brighter

37. And news of his joy from his elegance
Is more magnificent and from his beauty more splendid

38. He is the master who bought praise
And people failed to buy his praise

39. And he who comes seeking his generosity
Will never find it measured

40. And his eulogizer exhausts superlatives for him
Yet in praise they will never be exhausted

41. His peace is the destination of hope
For it is lasting and pouring

42. With generosity its essence is open
And with union its form is fragrant

43. So say, if you wish, it is Paradise
And his peace is the Abundant River

44. The winds lag if they compete with it
And stumble in its path afterwards

45. And Ridha is forgotten with the mention of Ar-Rashid
And Ja’far belittled by Ja’far

46. And how can they name him Ja’far
And from the outpouring of his tranquility the sea is deeper

47. And how can they blame his enviers
Has his time not envied him

48. Of the people, his hospitality cannot be limited
Nor his glory confined

49. So their delegates profited from him
While their escapees lost

50. They are houses which if traced back to the people
They are the blossoms of stars brought together

51. And none is like this leader whose
Every glory he prides in

52. And a status whose peak is unattainable
You see eyes lowered beneath it

53. And a soul that rivals in great deeds
And prefers what is preferred

54. And attains at the spring of dignities
And volunteers what is volunteered

55. Sacrificed for him from evil are his enemies
All together for they are more despised

56. So how they appraised the lowly from his worth
Yet destinies refused what they appraised

57. So he ascended to the sky of greatness
While before his ascension they fell short

58. And I determined to take a journey
Whose prosperity I see exposed

59. And I loved serving whom our time
For its purposes is a lesser servant

60. And I preferred the companionship of the Master of people
To attain what is preferred

61. The morning sun will congratulate me for it
And the bright moon will envy me

62. And I will wake up with my livelihood through him
Neither blamed nor my repute tarnished

63. And I see my life repent of its sin
Repenting and seeking forgiveness from me

64. I bid farewell to you, O life and lifetime
And bid farewell to my burning heart

65. And I travel from you while my mind
Does not think of other than you

66. And whoever was like me traveled the countries
To be clothed in honor or broken

67. And my pursuit is none but attaining glory
And one like me for its like is excused

68. So do not forget me from your answered prayers
For I am your son, O Ja’far
