1. He who I was silent towards accused me
Thinking that I had no tongue
١. خَاصَمَني من سَكَتُّ عنه
فَظَنَّ أَنْ ليسَ لي لسانُ
2. So I said, you are no opponent of mine
Rather, time is my only opponent
٢. فقلت ما أَنْتَ لي بخَصْمٍ
وإِنَّمَا خَصْمِيَ الزَّمانُ
