1. O dweller among gardens and rivers
May life delight you, while I am in fire

2. Goodness forever descends from his forefathers
Among the virtuous and the pure near the Pure

3. Introduce your father who quenched you with his Kauthar
That through you my flowing tears are quenched

4. Tears of my eyes are my supporters, and no wonder
If I say I am the weakest of my aides and supporters

5. Death chose you while possessing
A share, and how much fate you have as the Chosen

6. Death is no disgrace when it came
While you still do not cease to disgrace disgrace

7. You, O full moon, when you departed
You took your guidance from us, O longing for the departing

8. You remain a shining full moon not eclipsed
For the guided, and a star not setting

9. The house was lonesome when its owner was absent
From it, and my heart is concerned with the house

10. You made your apparition truthful, no visitors came with it
So I have no apparition of yours as visitors

11. If you knew the details of my news
In grief, my condition in Paradise would sadden you

12. In your vicinity, my heart is holy, so respect it
I knew you respect the sanctity of a neighbor

13. Without your pleasure, how can I endure
Or without missing you, how can I be patient

14. How can I show patience or composure from you
When I saw you lying among rocks

15. Unlike a grave where you rested
It is but a lantern for lights

16. Clouds of holiness and pleasures rain upon it
So no skies rain with showers

17. The noble passed away, leaving behind from his virtues
Gardens of lights and flowers

18. A mention that spanned the earth, and days spread it
So it always appears held by journeys

19. He was always righteous, correct in speech, not deviant
A speaker of remarkable utterances, vigil of dawns

20. His mosque and its worshipers cried for him
So the lamps are but fire of remembrance

21. He fasted from all prohibitions, so for him
In eternity, with his Father, is the feast of breakfast

22. He never cared for days to come
Nor did he care for scarcity and abundance

23. Among people, he was most pious in his solitude
And most generous on days of poverty

24. I wished my life to remain with him forever
So my life's wish was not my wish

25. My eyes cry for him with tears pouring forth
As my tongue cries for him with poetry

26. O time you consume my loved ones and ambush them
You are nothing but a inflicting fate

27. So my poverty when you eradicate my possessions
And my misguidance when you eclipse my moons

28. I do not expect anything in life to reflect it
And how to expect loyalty from a betrayer?

29. Who knows time like me becomes balanced
Hearing the voice of a wailing female mourner

30. Man can never escape from time broken
Subjugated and not strange is the breaking of pottery

31. Each day the Family of the Chosen faces tribulations
That bring no benefit to the religion but rending veils

32. The Family of Ahmad are fallen in graves
And exiled to horizons and lands

33. Whoever opposes them has avenged
With enmity, while people sleep from avenging

34. People were confused in their confusion
No confusion of people but wisdom of the Creator

35. Most people end up hesitating
Between denial and affirmation

36. O son of the Prophet, hopefully in Resurrection you will ransom me
From your grandfather, freeing me from the Fire

37. For if I meet you on Day of Gathering busy
From me, then my burdens have destroyed me
