1. Abu Hasan, I have insight into men
That I've grown accustomed to speak truly

2. It told me of you that you are glorious
You will ascend the heights beyond ascent

3. So I paid you honor before its time
And said, may God prolong the master’s survival

4. And I held back a phrase I did not utter
Until I see it appropriate to unleash

5. So whether I live or die, recall my tidings
And make it an obligation fulfilled by you

6. And for my family and children, be their keeper
When the flank settles in the place of survival
