١. سَبَقَ الدَهرُ جَدُّكُم في الرِهانِ
وَعَلَت نارُكُم عَلى النيرانِ
2. And the impetuous ancestor held the reins
Long winding them around every rein
٢. وَجَرى في عِنانِكُم جامِحُ الجَد
دِ مُطولاً يُلوي بِكُلِّ عِنانِ
