1. I said to the man who divvies out fate:
Entrust your matters to Him of the tranquil gaze
١. قَد قُلتُ لِلرَجُلِ المُقَسِّمِ أَمرَه
فَوِّض إِلَيهِ تَنَم قَريرَ العَينِ
2. Return all affairs to the Knower of mysteries
And accept with open hands what He gives you
٢. رُدَّ الأُمورَ إِلى العَليمِ بِغِبِّها
وَتَلَقَّ ما يُعطيكَهُ بِيَدَينِ
3. May Allah watch over me better than the self
Which strays, and have mercy on me more than parents
٣. اللَهُ أَنظَرُ لي مِنَ النَفسِ الَّتي
تَغوى وَأَرأَفُ بي مِنَ الأَبَوَينِ
