The heights of virtues and glory,
١. رُسَّت قُبورُهُمُ عَلى
هامِ المَكارِمِ وَالمَعالي
2. As though the dew has seeped
Into them from streams of nobility.
٢. فَكَأَنَّما هَرَقَ النَدى
فيهِنَّ أَذنِبَةَ النَوالِ
3. Behind the soil, are they
Examples of swords and loftiness?
٣. مِنهُم وَراءَ التُربِ أَم
ثالُ الصَوارِمِ وَالعَوالي
4. Do you see how death has wronged
That pure and righteous soul?
٤. أَتُرى المَنايا كَيفَ جُل
نَ بِذَلِكَ الحَيِّ الحِلالِ
