١. تُرَحِّلُنا الأَيّامُ وَهيَ تُقيمُ
وَيَجرَحُ فينا الخَطبُ وَهوَ سَليمُ
2. Yet time's uncertainty remains, for it
Is gently submissive to the nights, so generous
٢. وَيَبقى عَلى رَيبِ الزَمانِ لَهِنَّهُ
عَلى ذي اللَيالي هَيِّناً لَكَريمُ
