Contesting ostriches in this show of might.

Their mounts all champ and churn to racing time.

22. Except the sire and colt, from them all around
Burst saddle-girths whene'er the drums resound.

23. If war's afoot they instantly prepare,
Brandishing till each spearpoint flicks the air.

24. Since fame was scorned they've never ceased to wage it,
Sent it aflame till evil burned within it.

25. Unraveling complications with their toil,
You have attained, fulfilled the deepest goal.

26. What enormous gifts have they bestowed on me,
Raising me up, exalting my decree!

27. They fulfilled me west and north without reproach,
Evil mutterers could only chafe and broach

28. New stratagems, intrigues could not deter,
Renewing vendettas, enmities to spur.

29. Yet they advanced me, curbed all egoistic aims,
Postponed reward until success proclaims.

30. What line of glory, what ensign sublime,
You've multiplied, enhancing law and rhyme!

31. How far your sea of bounty surged ahead!
With favor overflowing, unrestrained.

32. Another year of grace, though troubles irk,
You hold fate powerless, suspended work.

33. Authority embraced within your nation,
The crescent's rings cannot come undone.

34. No fate has terrified you, caused to cower,
