1. They mixed swords with spears,
And donned white turbans and coats of mail.
١. خَلَطوا الصَوارِمَ بِالقَنا وَتَعَمَّموا
بِالبيضِ وَاِجتابوا العَجاجَ دُروعا
2. A people when the war cry is raised for their aid,
They charge forth like a gushing spring upon it.
٢. قَومٌ إِذا هَتَفَ الصَريخُ بِنَصرِهِم
فَجَروا عَليهِ مِنَ الظُبى يَنبوعا
