1. O my friends, go for a ride on my she-camel,
For the gazelles have robbed me in Dhi Al-Arak.

2. Travel on, for the one who did not stab stopped his slander,
Having surrendered, and the one who was not stabbed survived.

3. It did not please me to drink from the spring of life,
That I am a slain one, though not before their eyes.
