1. For her like the mocker mocks,
Indeed your neighbor has been humbled, O Aamir,
١. لِأَمثالِها يَسخَرُ الساخِرُ
لَقَد ذَلَّ جارُكَ يا عامِرُ
2. You see him fallen into the hands of misfortune,
While you are neither helper nor commandant.
٢. تَراهُ لَقىً بَينَ أَيدي الخُطو
بِ لا أَنتَ ناهٍ وَلا آمِرُ
