1. Her death has shattered me to the core
Speech has died, so my tongue says no more

2. Except that which pleases God, for He
Is the Authority once decree is made

3. A servant cannot question what his Lord
Has ordained, for God is Great in might

4. To all mortals, death is surely writ
Yet the Lord lives on for eternity

6. He hid death to serve a purpose wise
That the heedless and slow be chastised

7. My mother left and darkness befell
With blood, eyes weep for her farewell

8. I cry, I mourn my lost lifetime’s love
Would that crying make me blind thereof

9. That my eyes see none but my dear love
Till reunion in the world above

10. In God’s shade and mercy, in Heaven
Fruits aplenty, of many a hue

11. Where bounty is, and no bounty but
That mentioned in Surah Yunus

12. I mourn the paragon of virtue
Would that her noble grave host me too

13. She prayed always in lonely night
Like fearful beseeching anchorite

14. She fasted too when dawn was nigh
Fearing hellfire, with sobbing cry

15. God assures in Quran, verily
Fear and Heaven walk hand in hand

16. If I weave all poetry's threads
It falls short of her merits, alas

17. I loved her with endless amour
In my soul, until my last hour

18. She was kindness and life devoid it
Naught but death and utter blow

19. God honoured me for her eminence
Now God help and improve my luck

20. Place her God in Heaven's crest
Prophet and she, your glorious guests
